Summer Reading Meeting on April 6

I hope you have all marked your calendars for the meeting at the new Rogers Free Library in Bristol on April 6. The meeting will begin at 9:30 with news, announcements, summer reading discussions, and a book give away at the end.

In the afternoon Bonnie will be presenting her collection of what's new and great in the world of children's reference.

Here's what you need to do before the meeting...
1. Register for the meetings on the OLIS CE calendar.
2. Consider bringing food to the meeting. We need five volunteers to bring a tasty treat to share in the morning. You'll want to bring a lunch if you're staying for the afternoon.
3. Think about what you would like to have in the way of CE next year. The children's advisory council will be meeting in May to discuss CE for fall 2009/spring 2010 and we'd like your input. Is a half day after a morning meeting best? Would you like a full day? Are there topics you are interested in? Speakers you'd like to hear? We don't know if there is money, but if you have a good idea, we will pursue it. You can share ideas here, we will also have some time at the meeting to discuss CE ideas.

I think we'll be good. I posted two documents. One of slogans for 2011 and one of themes for 2012. We will take a vote at the meeting so I can take your thoughts to the CSLP meeting at the end of April where I will be voting for the slogan and theme. thanks, Susan
