Trip to pick up books (Strictlybythebook)

Hi! Melody always organized a trip to Strictly-by-the-book to pick out books for the SRP--does anyone know when or if this will happen this year? We usually go sometime in May. Thanks! Vicki @ NPR

Vicki and all,
We discussed this yesterday at the Children's Advisory Meeting. It will happen. As soon as I verify the date with Strictly by the Book (probably Monday) I will post it here. We will be looking for volunteers again to help pick out books and transport them back to RI. The pick-up point will be Warwick due to a meeting at William Hall making that space unavailable when we are hoping to go.
If you haven't been it's a fun time if you don't mind being hot and a little dirty. It is a warehouse.

The trip to Strictly By the Book has been scheduled for Tuesday, June 9. We will meet at East Providence at 9:00 so we can be there at 9:30. They are located in Fall River. We will select the books. Have lunch and then go back and pick them up. If you come along you can take your books with you. Those who can't come can pick up books in Warwick on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of that week.

Please be at East Providence at 9:00. We can carpool from there. Hopefully we'll be back by 3:00. Some of you East Bay people may want to meet us there. That's fine. Those who help select the books can take them that day. Someone asked if they could take for nearby libraries that day, yes you can. If you need to call me Tuesday morning, the number is 487-0533.
Books will be available for pick-up at Warwick beginning Wednesday, June 10.
The times are Wednesday 10 - 5
Thursday 12 - 8
Friday 9 - 5 - it they last that long.
If you plan to come get books, please post here or send me an e-mail so I can divide them in a reasonable fashion. I'd like for everyone who wants books to get some.

Hi Susan, I had posted your e-mail account that I could not make the Strictly by the Book trip as I'll be doing school visits that day. Sorry to have to bow out. Hi Susan. Thanks for making this happen. I will be at Warwick around 10am Wednesday to pick up books for Greenville. I usually take about 100, but can probably do with fewer if there are not enough to go around.
