Both school and public libraries are eligible to win hardcover copies of the 17 selected titles, as well as bookplates, bookmarks and posters. The application, programming information and more is on the &lt;a href='http://publicprograms.ala.org/bookshelf'&gt;project website&lt;/a&gt;. Louise Moulton at Providence Public Library, Staff Director for the RI Center for the Book, will post on the &lt;a href='http://www.readingacrossri.org'&gt;RARI website&lt;/a&gt; when the tickets are available to purchase. They are usually $25.00 per person and include breakfast at Rhodes on the Pawtuxet. Louise put the tickets on sale about six weeks before the breakfast, but she stops taking reservations about a week before so she can give a final count to Rhodes for the catering. Book clubs or groups are welcome to book a table together. His music sounded enjoyable.  He&amp;#039;s done a couple CDs.  He&amp;#039;ll be in CT on July 9 and is willing to come to RI the week before or for a few days after.  &amp;#040;I would want him after because of the 4th.&amp;#041;  He charges $400.00 per show but is willing to negotiate if we have more shows &amp;#045; he can do 3 or 4 a day depending on distance. Mary Ann Shaffer, a librarian and editor, nurtured the tale about Guernsey for twenty years before committing pen to paper. Unfortunately, Ms. Shaffer passed away in February, 2008 before the final edits to the manuscript were complete.
