Hi everyone,

I thoroughly enjoyed yesterday's book discussion about current fiction.
I have a new reading list, and I enjoyed hearing the variety of
viewpoints presented. Thanks.

Before the details of the next YART, I just want to say a gigantic
thank you to Donna & Mary. I have been having trouble getting in touch
with teachers over the summer to come and talk about the senior
projects, which I told the group yesterday. Donna and Mary immediately
jumped in to say, "We can do that!" So, thank you again! This is a topic
both Donna & Mary have thought a lot about and have many ideas and
resources to share with public librarians wanting to support the high
school students in their efforts.

I have attached the YART calendar for the rest of the year (through
July 2010). Everything is finalized, except the GLSEN presentation at
RIEMA. As soon as I know the RIEMA date, I will get in touch with
GLSEN.

Hi, all,

I wanted to make sure to take the time to thank Donna and Mary for the wonderful presentation they did on graduation standards, senior projects/portfolios, and graduation requirements for this month's YART session. It was extremely comprehensive and helpful. It encouraged me to do more to reach out to the local high school to see how I (and the library) can better assist with the process so it can be smoother for area students.
